Healthcare is evolving fast—and so is Royal. For the past 13 years, Royal Ambulance, a Bay Area healthcare transportation behemoth, has been focused on building & improving healthcare transportation solutions through data-driven decision-making and a steadfast focus on amazing experiences; for patients, partners, providers, and employees. Throughout this tenure, Royal's product suite grew beyond that of an ambulance company and necessitated a repositioning. Thus, Royal went through en exhaustive search to find an agency that could communicate this shift in values. 

Royal engaged Darkroom to undergo an intense period of strategy with internal decision-makers to understand Royal's changing composition. Darkroom delivered an identity system and digital experience that communicates a global brand that has moved beyond healthcare transportation into a technology-enabled logistics company—perfectly positioned to serve the healthcare sector. The brand is innovative and connective, while still retaining the main ethos and value of exceptional customer experience evoked by the original brand. The identity was accompanied by a new name too: Royal Care Connect.
