Overview
Cycora is a regenerated polyester material created by Ambercycle, turning discarded textiles into virgin-grade fabric through molecular regeneration technology. With partnerships spanning Zara, Reformation, GANNI, and Gap's Athleta, Cycora needed a digital platform that could communicate the sophistication of its science and the scale of its ambition, without sacrificing the speed a media-rich site demands.

Breakthrough science without a digital presence to match
Cycora had secured partnerships with some of the largest fashion companies in the world - Inditex, Gap, GANNI, Reformation - but the brand's digital platform didn't reflect the scale or sophistication of the technology behind it. As a material science company selling to enterprise fashion partners, Cycora's website had to serve a different purpose than a typical e-commerce storefront: it needed to communicate complex science clearly, showcase rich media and motion content that demonstrated the material's quality, and load fast enough that executives, sustainability leads, and procurement teams would stay engaged. Darkroom identified that the challenge was technical as much as creative, delivering a visually dense experience without the performance penalty that heavy media typically imposes.

Motion-driven design at 1.3-second load speed
Darkroom partnered with Cycora to design and build a digital platform from scratch, producing a functional prototype in 14 days, then refining a final site that integrated bold motion design, rich product imagery, and seamless navigation into a single platform that loads in 1.3 seconds. The site architecture was built to tell Cycora's story in layers, molecular regeneration technology for the technically curious, partnership credibility for procurement decision-makers, and sustainability impact for brand teams evaluating circular materials. The result is a digital experience that sets Cycora apart in a category where most material science companies rely on static white papers and PDF decks, giving the brand a platform that performs as well as its product.
